The Chinese 1-2-1 Partnership Program is facilitated through the China Center for International Educational Exchange (CCIEE) and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) in collaboration with Northern Arizona University. Please note that students must be nominated and approved by CCIEE and be a partner school. If you have any questions, please contact Daniel Palm.

Please find below the requirements to participate in the Chinese 1-2-1 Partnership Program:
1. Application: Complete an application.
2. Official Transcripts: Submit official transcripts for all college/university education. All transcripts/marksheets must be submitted in English. If you need your transcripts evaluated, please visit World Education Services (WES) or any other reputable foreign credential evaluation service. In addition, we require a minimum of a 2.0 GPA for Exchange students.
3. Test Scores: Submit the results of the TOEFL, IELTS, or other proof of English proficiency exam. Results must come directly from the testing service. The minimum scores are as follows:
- TOEFL: 525 PBT, 70 IBT, or 195 CBT. (School code: 4006)
- IELTS: 6.0 band or higher.
- ACT English Sub Score: 21 or higher.
- SAT Verbal Score: 530 or higher.
If you do not meet NAU's English proficiency requirement you may be required to:- Take the English Level Placement test upon arriving; OR
- Enroll in NAU's Program in Intensive English until you pass the English Proficiency Requirement.
4. Proof of Financial Support: Provide poof of financial support, in the form of an original bank statement, in the total amount of the fees & expenses for China 1-2-1 students. This is required to issue the SEVIS form DS-2019, the immigration form you will need to apply for a student visa.
