UPON ARRIVAL IN FLAGSTAFF PLEASE REPORT TO THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE WITH YOUR PASSPORT, DS-2019 AND FORM I-94 (ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE CARD). A HOLD WILL BE PLACED ON YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU DO NOT CHECK-IN.
The International Office has planned a thorough orientation program to introduce you to the University and provide you with valuable information to help you adjust to a new environment. You must attend.
Check the important dates for the dates of the orientation.
Due to Flagstaff’s altitude, summers are pleasant and temperature ranges from 45° to 85° Fahrenheit (7° to 29° Celsius). Winter temperature can be severe ranging from 15° to 50° Fahrenheit (-9° to 10° Celsius) with occasional periods of sub-zero temperature. Be sure to pack warm clothes. Medical Information: Be sure to bring:
Prescriptions, and previous x-rays/medical records/dental records. Information on any long-term health problems/allergies.
You must have received these vaccinations after your first birthday and they must have been given at least 30 days apart: List: http://www4.nau.edu/fronske/services.htm#immuniz
You are encouraged to bring family photographs, translation dictionary, international driver’s license, marriage and birth certificates, and cultural items to display at the NAU International Festival.
Bring traveler’s cheques in U.S. dollars, credit card and a small amount of cash. It is recommended that you carry sufficient funds for your immediate needs in the form of cash.
Students who opt to live on-campus are given two sheets and a pillow-case. Both on-campus and off-campus students must have their own pillows, blankets and towels. They can be purchased upon arrival.

NAU Postal Services will hold the package until mid-semester so you will have plenty of time and opportunity to pick-up the package(s) after your arrival to NAU. Please note, if the package is not picked-up by you by the middle of the semester, NAU Postal Services will send it back to the return mailing address.
