Once you have been admitted to NAU as an Exchange student you will be given access (login and password) to the on-line registration system. You can review course information (what you may call modules or classes) at the following web site:
http://www4.nau.edu/aio/AcademicCatalog/academiccatalogs.htm
Click on the most recent calendar year. There is a an index on the left side of the screen. Select courses. You will need to select the letter for the subject area. Then select undergraduate courses for the particular academic subject.
All students must delcare a Major (a program of study) at NAU - See a list of our majors
Registration for courses is done through the Internet by using a system called LOUIE:
All exchange students are responsible for registering for classes on-line. Undergraduate students must register for a minimum of 12 credit hours/semester.. Once you are admitted to NAU as an Exchange student you will be able to access the LOUIE system to register for classes. More detailed information about registering for classes can be found in the application packet (go to application details to download the packet).
Also exchange students must present documentation for measles vacinations. Once vacination is verified you will be cleared to register for classes.
However, exchange students cannot register for business classes on-line through LOUIE. Before you are allowed to register for Business classes you or your school's exchange coordinator must send a copy of your transcript to the Center for International Education. Included in your application that you will send to the Center for International Education is a form where you will list the classes that you wish to take. The Center for International Education will forward your transcript along with your class registration form to The School of Business who will check your transcript to determine if you have met the pre-requisite classes for the classes that you wish to take. If it is determined that you have, you will be allowed to register for Business classes. Please note that Business classes fill up quickly in the fall semester so please mail all your application documents to the Center for International Education as early as possible.
You can review a complete list of academic subjects/majors at NAU.
